Even though people know airplane accidents mean almost death, why do people still take risk to travel on air?

In train accidents there are still chances to live when the compartments are out of tracks, in ship accidents there are still life jackets and boats and wireless SOS system, but if you carefully go through the records of airoplane crash accidents everywhere in the world, you will find that 99% people died in those accidents when the airplane fall on the ground or caught fire. So, you are actually carrying a time-bomb in your hand while you are travelling on an airplane, betting your life on high-risk, which nobody--- not even you know that ---whether it will burst or not. Even after such high life-risk, why do people still travel on airplanes?
