She needs to see a doctor for a cervical smear- to prevent developing cervical cancer. She can request a female doctor. Its your male "this is my woman" ego that is hurting you. My husband felt the same when i was in labour and a male doctor, grabbed my hips and told me to calm down. The pain will go, all you can do is talk to your girfriend about how it could be different next time x
