Why do preppy mothers dress their daughters in stupid outfits?

It's someone's style, so they do this. If a parent likes those clothes and think they are cute, they'll buy them. I think they are cute, but I wouldn't go all out like that, I'd do something with a bow, and that's only it. It's looks a little TOO out there, but it doesn't mean that someone doesn't like that and wants to be a bit unique. Maybe they don't want to dress their kids in the same old thing, and they want to look different. It might be horrendous to you, but to someone, it's beautiful.
