Is wearing a Button down shirt w/o a tie with a classy vest w/o the jacket good looking to wear?

Just thinkin of going of a night club if it would be classy to wear a nice set up of slacks, and polished shoes with a button down shirt no tie, and a vest with no jacket and a fedora hat? ive seen some links where it is says that kinda of outfit is telling of a young and successful man portrayed in movies also so im just going for maybe a 2nd opinion dont wana go n look stupid haha.... plz Helpp!
